Conservation Law Foundation — Senior Attorney, Clean Air & Water (Boston, MA)

Conservation Law Foundation is seeking a Senior Attorney to join its Clean Air & Water program, focusing on litigation and advocacy to protect New England’s environment. This role involves strategic litigation on climate change, environmental contamination, and public health issues, including cases against major fossil fuel companies and matters involving plastics, toxic pollutants, and emerging contaminants.

The position includes leading litigation and administrative proceedings, negotiating settlements, advising community and advocacy groups, and building coalitions with diverse stakeholders. Responsibilities also include supervising junior attorneys and interns, contributing to communications efforts, supporting fundraising initiatives, and advancing organizational priorities. The role offers flexibility within New England, with a preference for Boston.

Candidates should have at least 7 years of litigation experience and a strong interest in environmental, public health, or social justice issues. Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to manage complex matters and work collaboratively. Active bar membership in a New England state is required.

Salary range: $118,000 to $141,000 (Boston); $106,000 to $127,000 (other New England locations).
