David — Quality Analyst / Quality Manager (New York, NY)

David, a fast growing food startup founded by RXBAR cofounder Peter Rahal, is hiring Quality and Regulatory professionals to support the development of high protein, low calorie foods. These roles help build the company’s quality, food safety, and regulatory systems as the brand expands.

You will work across supplier quality, regulatory compliance, traceability, and food safety programs while partnering with R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations teams. Responsibilities include qualifying and auditing ingredient suppliers and co manufacturers, managing supplier performance and corrective actions, maintaining traceability systems, and supporting food safety plans and recall readiness. The role also involves reviewing ingredients and formulations for regulatory compliance, preparing documentation for FDA, FSMA, GFSI, and Prop 65 requirements, and approving labels, nutrition facts panels, ingredient statements, and product claims.

Candidates should have a background in food science, regulatory affairs, food safety, or a related field and experience working in food, beverage, or CPG quality or regulatory roles. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as FDA, FSMA, HACCP, and GFSI is required. Experience with supplier audits, CAPAs, recall execution, and systems such as TraceGains is preferred.

Salary range: $90,000 to $145,000
