Walmart — Director, Public and Government Affairs (Bentonville, AR)

Walmart is seeking a Director, Public and Government Affairs to lead public policy strategy and advise senior leadership on key legislative and regulatory issues. This role focuses on shaping and advancing policy priorities across a broad portfolio, working at the intersection of business operations and government engagement at the state, federal, and global levels.

Responsibilities include analyzing and monitoring policy developments, developing and executing strategic advocacy plans, and advising internal stakeholders on complex and evolving policy issues. The role also involves building and managing relationships with policymakers, industry groups, and external partners, and translating regulatory developments into clear, actionable strategies for the business.

Candidates should have at least 8 years of public policy or government affairs experience, with a strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes. Experience advising senior leaders, managing cross-functional initiatives, and influencing policy outcomes is required. Background in areas such as economic policy, ecommerce, financial services, or data privacy is preferred.

Salary range: $110,000 to $220,000.
