Ferrero is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to join its Food Law & Food Regulatory team, supporting its North America portfolio across the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean. This role sits at the intersection of product innovation and regulatory risk, helping ensure compliance while enabling the company to bring products to market. The position works closely with cross-functional teams including Research & Development, Quality, Marketing, and Institutional Affairs.
The role focuses on advising on food labeling, claims, ingredients, and advertising, and supporting compliance with emerging regulatory frameworks such as chemical and additive restrictions, warning laws, and consumer protection risks. Responsibilities include developing governance tools, approving claims and substantiation, supporting product development from concept through commercialization, and monitoring regulatory and litigation trends. The position also involves building internal policies, training materials, and scalable systems to support consistent decision-making across product portfolios.
Candidates must hold a J.D. and be admitted to a U.S. bar, with 5–7 years of experience in food law or a related regulated industry. Strong experience with labeling, claims substantiation, and regulatory compliance is required. Familiarity with frameworks such as FSMA, Proposition 65, and PFAS-related regulation is preferred. The ideal candidate is able to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical guidance and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Salary: $126,489 – $168,653.
