Bread for the World is seeking a State Organizer for Pennsylvania to support advocacy efforts focused on ending hunger and poverty. This role works within the Organizing and Faith Engagement team and focuses on building and mobilizing networks of leaders, congregations, and community partners to advance policy change at the state and federal levels.
The position involves identifying and training leaders, developing grassroots advocacy networks, and supporting campaigns aligned with federal policy goals. Responsibilities include engaging with diverse communities, coordinating advocacy efforts, supporting legislative outreach, and strengthening statewide organizing infrastructure. The role also includes ongoing communication with stakeholders, tracking policy developments, and supporting fundraising and mobilization efforts.
Candidates should have at least five years of organizing experience and a strong understanding of public policy advocacy and the legislative process. Experience working with diverse communities and faith-based or community organizations is preferred. Strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and willingness to travel within the state are required.
Salary range: $63,000 to $73,000.
