Walmart is hiring a Senior Director of Corporate Sustainability to lead enterprise strategy on waste reduction and circularity across Walmart U.S., Sam’s Club, and international markets. This role focuses on reducing operational waste, food loss, and packaging waste while advancing the company’s circular economy goals.
You will develop and execute Walmart’s waste and materials circularity strategy, including zero waste operations, food loss reduction, and packaging optimization. The role includes managing KPI tracking, building implementation roadmaps, and leading cross functional collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, Facilities, Merchandising, Procurement, and Technology teams. You will also manage innovation pipelines for circular materials and packaging, oversee ESG disclosures related to waste and circularity, and represent Walmart in industry coalitions, policy discussions, and sustainability forums.
This position leads a team of sustainability professionals and requires strong experience managing enterprise wide initiatives, influencing stakeholders across complex organizations, and integrating sustainability strategy into core business operations. Candidates should have deep knowledge of waste systems, food systems, packaging innovation, and circular economy policy frameworks such as extended producer responsibility.
Salary range: $130,000 to $260,000.
