Vetcove is hiring a Product Counsel to support its fast growing veterinary technology platform used by more than 25,000 veterinary hospitals across the United States. The role works closely with product, engineering, marketing, and compliance teams to provide legal guidance throughout the product development lifecycle.
You will review and negotiate a range of commercial agreements including SaaS contracts, software licensing agreements, vendor contracts, service agreements, distribution agreements, and data processing agreements. The role also involves advising business and product teams on legal risks related to new features and product launches, developing customer facing terms such as terms of service and disclaimers, and helping manage the company’s privacy program.
Additional responsibilities include drafting and negotiating data protection agreements, advising on compliance with privacy laws governing consumer data collection and use, and working with internal stakeholders to develop legal strategies that support product growth and innovation.
Candidates must hold a JD and be admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction with four to eight years of experience in technology transactions, product counseling, or commercial contracting. Experience with software companies or technology focused legal practices is strongly preferred.
Salary range: $130,000 to $180,000
